Sheriff’s detectives circulated bulletins Saturday with photos of 16 suspects believed to have forced their way into an AutoZone car parts store twice in consecutive days.
The new bulletins add four pictures of suspects, now totaling 11 males and five females, their ages unknown.
Deputies assigned to the East Los Angeles sheriff’s station responded around 2:20 a.m. last Saturday to an AutoZone in the 1100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard, just north of Olympic Boulevard, following reports of an unlawful entrance, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
During their investigation, deputies determined that an unidentified suspect shattered the glass door of the business before entering with approximately 11 others in a coordinated “mob-like” burglary, resulting in a significant loss of items, as well as damage to the business, sheriff’s officials said. It occurred during a street takeover.
Some of the same suspects and others were believed to have hit the same business about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, repeating the coordinated, mob-like burglary.
Photographs were taken from footage recovered from the business, then made public in hopes of identifying the suspects.
