A traffic crash that claimed the life of a 78-year-old man in Irvine was under investigation Tuesday.
According to the Irvine Police Department, a Chevrolet pickup struck pedestrian Jinshui Li, an Irvine resident, who was crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk at the intersection of Meadowood and Yale Avenue around 10 a.m. Monday.
Li was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to police.
No information was immediately released regarding the driver who struck him.
