Police Tuesday were investigating the death of a man found with a fatal gunshot wound on Venice Beach.
The death was reported about 11:15 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Ocean Front Walk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, the man was found with a gunshot wound to the head and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A gun was recovered at the scene, an LAPD spokesman said.
No suspect was being sought and there was no ongoing threat, according to the LAPD, which was investigating the death as a possible suicide.
