A hit-and-run collision left one pedestrian dead and another severely injured in South Los Angeles, police said Tuesday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a light-colored sedan being driven northbound on Western Avenue struck two pedestrians at 56th Street around 10:55 p.m. Monday. The driver fled the scene north on Western.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead and another was treated for severe injuries, according to the police.
There was no additional information immediately available about a suspect or the vehicle.
