Two men were wounded Tuesday in a shooting in Watts, and police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the gunfire.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded around 12:56 p.m. to the intersection of Grandee Avenue and 103rd Street to investigate a report of a shooting with a victim down, according to an officer in the department’s Media Relations Section.
Officers found two victims — a man about 40 years old with a gunshot wound to his chest and another man about 30 who had been shot twice, according to the LAPD.
The older man was reported to be conscious and breathing. An update on the second man’s condition was not immediately available.
Two ambulances were summoned to take the men to a hospital, police said.
The suspects were described as two men in their 20s who fled in a faded burgundy Toyota Camry, police said.
