A suspect who allegedly participated in a home invasion robbery was taken into custody Thursday after he reportedly fled from a vehicle in Artesia and was found hiding along a freeway.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Station reported they were pursuing a home invasion robbery suspect about 10:35 a.m. Thursday.
The suspect had been in a vehicle with three other people who were quickly stopped by officers after pulling into a gas station. He was located about 12:40 p.m. following a search involving an air unit and a K9 unit, according to police and a report from the scene.
He was found on the Artesia (91) Freeway at Pioneer Boulevard, according to police.
The unidentified suspect was found hiding in brush near a ramp of the freeway, according to a videographer who covered the search following the robbery in the 1700 block of Jersey Avenue.
