A child riding an electric bicycle was struck and injured by a hit-and-run motorist Friday in Lancaster.
The child was struck around 2:45 p.m. Friday near the 2300 block of West Avenue J-8, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s officials said the child was taken to a hospital, but the extent of the child’s injuries was not disclosed. The motorist left the scene without stopping.
Descriptions of the motorist and vehicle were not immediately available.
