One person died at the scene of a bus fire on the Pomona Freeway in Industry Friday.

The fire was reported at 5:38 a.m. on the eastbound side of the Pomona (60) Freeway just west of Azusa Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene, a CHP spokeswoman said.

Two right lanes were closed and remained so hours after the fire was put out.
