A white van and gray sedan collided in a South Whittier intersection near Candlewood Country Club Sunday, sending seven people to hospitals with injuries, including three listed as critical.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 9:11 p.m. Sunday at Telegraph Road and Victoria Avenue.
Video from the scene showed a white, full-sized van on its side next to an apartment building and a gray sedan overturned onto a center median.
Three people were rushed to a hospital in critical condition and four were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokeswoman Pauline McGee told City News Service.
ABC7 reported that two other people were treated for their injuries at the scene.
South Whittier is an unincorporated area, which was the reason the CHP was investigating the crash.
