A 20-year-old man with a medical condition who went missing in Hermosa Beach has been located, officials announced Tuesday.
Fabia Fernandez was considered at-risk because he suffers from encephalitis and requires medication, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
He had last been seen at about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Pier Avenue, officials said.
No details were released regarding when and where he was found, nor the condition he was in.
Encephalitis is an inflammation affecting the brain that can cause confusion and seizures, among other symptoms, and can even be fatal.
