One woman was killed in a shooting Thursday in downtown Los Angeles.
A 31-year-old woman was shot and killed by a male suspect around 2:33 a.m. near the intersection of South Towne Avenue and East 6th Street, a Los Angeles Police spokesperson said.
The suspect fled north on a bicycle on Towne Avenue, according to a witness, the LAPD said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Video from the scene shows the street blocked off and police officers investigating the location.
It was not immediately clear if the victim was transient or if the shooting was gang related, police said.
