It took less than 20 minutes for firefighters and Los Angeles Park rangers to stop the forward progress of a grass fire in the Sepulveda Basin Saturday.
The fire was reported at 3:44 p.m. Saturday at 6201 N. Woodley Ave., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
The fire was stopped at an area of 30 feet by 30 feet, Lantz said.
Mop-up operations were underway, she said, with firefighters putting out hot spots after surrounding the fire with lines of cleared vegetation.
No injuries were reported, Lantz said.
