A 30-year-old man shot and killed in the Hyde Park community of South Los Angeles was identified Monday.
Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. Aug. 23 to multiple calls of a shooting in the area of 48th Street and Eighth Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
Paramedics rushed a man to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Eric Farris, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Medical first responders also took a 31-year-old woman to a hospital. The extent her injuries was not disclosed.
No motive or suspect description was immediately available.
