Police Thursday were investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a car in West Hills.
The pedestrian was crossing Roscoe Boulevard outside of a crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound around 10:32 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection with Farralone Avenue, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The victim was described as a 33-year-old woman who was homeless, the LAPD said.
The driver remained at the scene, the LAPD confirmed.
No description of the vehicle was immediately available, but video from the scene showed a silver Toyota sedan with a cracked windshield while police officers erected a medical examiner’s tent.
Officers were still investigating the scene as of 1:08 a.m., the LAPD said.
