A man was shot in the lower body Monday morning in the unincorporated San Gabriel Valley community of Bassett.
The shooting was reported at around midnight Monday in the 14830 block of Valley Boulevard, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Tracy Koerner told City News Service.
The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment of his wound, Koerner said.
Suspect information was not available.
A news videographer who went to the scene said the wounded victim was inside a business, with multiple shell casings in the parking lot and the front door of the business shattered by bullets.
