A 73-year-old man with multiple prior convictions for indecent exposure pleaded guilty Tuesday and was immediately sentenced to 136 days in jail, or time already served, for two separate flashing incidents at a shopping center parking lot in Fullerton.
Marshal James Leonard pleaded guilty to two felony counts of indecent exposure with a prior conviction for the crime, according to court records. He was placed on two years of formal probation.
Leonard exposed himself June 27 of last year and Jan. 26 in a shopping center parking lot in the 1800 block of West Malvern Avenue, according to Kristy Wells of the Fullerton Police Department.
Leonard successfully moved to be taken off the sex offender registry in 2024, Wells said.
Leonard engaged in “lewd behavior” in a vehicle of the busy parking lot, Wells said.
In the January incident, Leonard offered money to a woman to watch him “perform sexual acts before exposing himself,” Wells said.
As part of the plea deal, felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and unlawful possession of a controlled substance were dismissed.
