One person died when their vehicle crashed and overturned Friday in downtown Los Angeles.
The victim died after their vehicle went over railing, landed on a lower level, overturned and caught fire around 2:37 a.m. Friday on the 350 block of South Grand Avenue, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
The victim was driving a blue Mazda, the LAPD said.
Further details on the victim and the cause of the collision were not immediately available.
Video from the scene shows firefighters responding to the overturned, destroyed vehicle on the lower level of South Grand Avenue. A witness to the crash told Key News Network that the collision made a very loud sound.
