A stabbing was under investigation Friday in Van Nuys where one man was injured.
The injured victim was transported to the hospital after he was stabbed by his daughter’s boyfriend around 8:02 p.m. Thursday around the 7300 block of Kester Avenue, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
The victim was unconscious and not breathing, the LAPD said.
The suspect, described as a Hispanic man with a tattoo on the left side of his face and wearing glasses, was taken into custody around 12:01 a.m. Friday near Lemona Avenue after fleeing the scene with a knife, according to the LAPD.
There was no further information available on the condition of the victim.
Video from the scene shows police officers setting up a perimeter around the location and investigating the site of the stabbing with K-9 units.
