A Silver Alert was canceled in Los Angeles County and two neighboring counties Thursday for an 81-year-old man last seen in the unincorporated Yucca Valley area of San Bernardino County.
Ray Elliott was last seen around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Pioneertown Road and Yucca Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
Elliott was believed to be driving a white 2013 Ford E150 Econoline van with the California license plate of 77489F2.
Elliott was described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants and black shoes.
The Silver Alert was also activated for Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
Authorities did not reveal where or the circumstances under which he was found.
