Eight apartment units were evacuated Friday after a partial hillside collapse damaged a residence in the Hollywood Hills, authorities said.
The collapse was reported in the 1900 block of North Wilcox Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters and Urban Search and Rescue crews were working to shore up the damaged residence below the hillside and remove water from a swimming pool above the collapse, the LAFD said in an afternoon update.
Eight apartment units on Grace Avenue above the collapse were evacuated as crews worked to stabilize the area.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the hillside collapse was not immediately known.
