An at-risk 86-year-old man who had been the subject of a Silver Alert was located Monday, prompting cancellation of the alert.
Cruz Flores had last been seen around noon Monday near Ivy and Elnora streets in Pico Rivera, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The CHP announced at 9:31 p.m. that Flores had been located but as is typical, did not say where or when.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
