A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run motorist Thursday in Long Beach.
Officers responded around 7:10 a.m. Thursday near Anaheim Street and the Long Beach (710) Freeway to assist the Long Beach Fire Department with a deceased victim, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police said the man was struck by an unspecified vehicle heading westbound on Anaheim Street, between Harbor Avenue and the 710 Freeway.
No other details were immediately available.
The victim’s name was being withheld by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner pending notification of relatives.
