A collision where one minor was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his e-bike was under investigation Friday in Long Beach.
The minor was transported to a hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries after he was struck around 8:16 p.m. Thursday near Willow St and Chestnut Ave., the Long Beach Police Department said.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. Impaired driving was determined not to be a factor in the collision, according to police.
The scene was cleared by police and the cause of the collision investigation was ongoing.
Videos from the scene show a boy with blood and cuts on his face being loaded into an ambulance with the damaged e-bike on the ground near the site of the collision.
