Authorities were offering a reward Friday for information leading to the identification and arrest of a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Studio City.
The Los Angeles Police Department announced it is offering a $50,000 reward as part of an investigation into a hit-and-run crash where a motorcyclist was killed around 7 a.m. Wednesday on Ventura Boulevard at Carpenter Avenue.
The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Ventura Boulevard at Carpenter Avenue, near Carpenter Community Charter School, when the driver of a blue 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan traveling westbound attempted to make a left turn onto Carpenter and struck the motorcyclist, the LAPD said.
The driver of the Honda did not stop and continued south on Carpenter before abandoning the vehicle, police said.
Paramedics took the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His identity was not immediately available.
