Authorities sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in locating and identifying several suspects in a Hacienda Heights robbery who fled following shots fired by a security guard.
Deputies responded around 9:20 p.m. Monday to the 15000 block of Skyline Drive regarding reports of possible shots fired at a residence, with several suspects still inside, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Further investigation revealed to responding deputies that two armed security guards at the home observed several unidentified suspects fleeing the residence, and they believed additional suspects were still inside.
One security guard had fired several warning shots, prompting the suspects to exit the home and flee in a dark-colored sedan.
“Based on the statements by the security guards, the deputies believed there were additional suspects inside the location,” the department said in a statement.
Deputies made multiple announcements utilizing a patrol vehicle public address system before concluding that no additional suspects were located at the home.
Several unspecified items were taken from the home, with some items recovered nearby.
According to sheriff’s officials, no occupants were at the house during the robbery, and no person was reported injured.
