A DUI suspect was in custody Tuesday after leading police on a pursuit that ended in a collision in Highland Park.
Police attempted to apprehend a driver suspected of DUI around 12:17 a.m. Tuesday near Figueroa Street and York Boulevard, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
The pursuit ended shortly after it began when the driver collided with a parked white Tesla near Figueroa Street and Avenue 50, the LAPD said.
An ambulance was also requested to the scene, the LAPD said, but did not confirm if anyone was transported to a hospital.
Video from the scene shows the police apprehending one female suspect while investigating the scene of a destroyed sedan next to a damaged Tesla.
