Authorities Monday identified a man killed in a stabbing in Echo Park.
The 38-year-old victim was located in a parking lot around 8 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Montana and Liberty streets, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Guido Gomez, whose place of residence was not immediately available.
He was pronounced dead in the parking lot, having suffered sharp-force injuries of the torso, according to the medical examiner, which listed his manner of death as homicide.
No suspect information was released.
It was not immediately known if the stabbing was gang-related, police said.
The intersection is near a Vons location and The Great White Hut restaurant.
