A 47-year-old man found fatally shot in the head on a downtown Los Angeles street was identified by authorities Monday.
His name was Kenneth Williams, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office. Williams’ place of residence was not disclosed.
Officers responding at 10:13 p.m. Sunday to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at Fourth and Crocker streets found Williams fatally wounded, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
Suspect information was not made available.
A news videographer who went to the scene reported that the man had been shot in one eye. A white canopy concealed the victim from view while detectives conducted their crime scene investigation.
