An 81-year-old at-risk woman who was last seen in Fountain Valley was reported missing, authorities said Wednesday.
Penny-Mae Takahashi was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in Fountain Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Fountain Valley Police Department.
Takahashi is believed to be driving a 2003 silver Toyota Avalon with a California license plate that reads DP829PY.
Takahashi was described as a 5-foot-4-inch tall woman, weighing 98 pounds, who has black hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
