The county medical examiner Tuesday publicly identified a 47-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in Watts.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1:32 a.m. Saturday at 11224 Grape St., where they discovered an unresponsive male victim, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
Alvin Hilt, whose place of residence was not disclosed, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced in the street, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
An unknown suspect fled the scene, but no description was available.
Police noted that the victim was not homeless. It was unclear if the killed was gang-related, authorities said.
Video showed a medical examiner’s tent erected at the site and investigators examining the scene.
