A Silver Alert is in effect in Los Angeles County Tuesday for an 81-year-old man last seen in the Koreatown area .
Henry Collins was last seen around 2 a.m. Monday near Beverly Boulevard and South Commonwealth Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Monday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Collins was described as a 6-foot-2-inch-tall man weighing 190 pounds with white hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing blue sweatpants, a dark-colored T-shirt, and black shoes without laces.
Anyone with information regarding Collins whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
