The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has activated the Active Incident and Emergency Response webpage, a resource for accessing timely emergency information, monitoring ongoing incidents and staying informed about potential hazards throughout the region, and Friday urged residents to use it.
The webpage serves as a centralized source of information during significant emergencies involving multiple county departments that may pose threats to life, property or the environment.
The Active Incident and Emergency Response webpage can be found at lacounty.gov/emergency/response/active-incident/. Los Angeles County emergency information can be found at lacounty.gov/emergency/. Alert Los Angeles County can be found at alert.lacounty.gov/. Ready Los Angeles County can be found at ready.lacounty.gov/. Residents can also dial 211 for emergency preparedness information, referrals and community resources. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The sheriff’s department encourages residents to bookmark the emergency response webpage, share it with family members and neighbors, and check official sources regularly to remain informed before, during and after an emergency.
