Riverside County sheriff’s detectives were investigating a man’s death in the unincorporated community of Good Hope, near Perris, authorities said Wednesday.
The death was reported at 5:38 p.m. Monday in the area of Read Street and Olive Avenue, according to Sgt. Mike Kelleher, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department..
“Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased adult male at the scene,” Kelleher said. “Perris Sheriff’s Station investigators responded and, after noting unusual circumstances, notified investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff*s Central Homicide Unit, which also responded and assumed the investigation.”
The victim was later identified as 42-year-old Lonn Lucas of Riverside, Kelleher said.
