A 42-year-old man whose death in Compton prompted a homicide investigation was identified Monday.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the man as Jesus Aguilar on Monday following an investigation that began Sunday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department dispatched an investigator at 8:42 a.m. Sunday to the 500 block of West Cedar Street, south of Rosecrans Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau, which released no additional information about the investigation.
