The University of Southern California announced Friday that Professor Michael Quick will take the role of interim provost and senior vice president for academic affairs while a national search for a new provost is completed.
Quick — who assumes the post Dec. 1 — will replace provost Elizabeth Garrett, who will take a sabbatical from Dec. 1 until June 30, 2015.
She will take over as president of Cornell University on July 1, 2015.
