Loyola Marymount University has received more than 13,000 applications for fall freshman enrollment, a 10 percent increase over last year and the largest number of hopefuls in its history, the Los Angeles college said Thursday.
“I’m delighted to see this continued growth,” said Maureen Weatherall, LMU’s vice provost for Enrollment Management. “It’s a testament to LMU’s commitment to academic excellence and our Jesuit values.”
LMU is currently ranked third by U.S. News & World Report among “Best Regional Universities/West.”
The university, which intends to enroll 1,325 students in the Class of 2019, said it received applications from interested students in 49 states and 100 countries.
