All evacuation warnings and orders for residents living in the Holy Fire burn area in Riverside County were canceled Friday morning.
“The voluntary evacuation orders have been lifted for the following zones: Ambrose, Alberhill, Glen Ivy A, Glen Ivy B, Glen Eden, Grace, Horsethief A, Laguna A, Laguna B, Maitri, McVicker A, Rice and Withrow A,” according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The orders were lifted at midnight.
As of 8 p.m. Thursday, the storm systems over the past four days had dropped 1.91 inches of rain at the Riverside Municipal Airport, 2.05 inches in Temecula, 3.86 inches in Lake Elsinore, 8.2 inches near upper Horsethief Canyon, 3.5 inches in Idyllwild, 2.33 inches in Beaumont and 1.01 of an inch at the Palm Springs International Airport, according to the NWS.
The Lake Elsinore Unified School District announced Thursday that Rice Canyon Elementary School and Withrow Elementary School would reopen Friday.
The NWS issued a wind advisory for the county mountains and the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning that is set to last through 7 a.m.
Dry weather with warmer temperatures will prevail from Friday afternoon through next week, forecasters said.
