Gov. Gavin Newsom Wednesday reappointed Oceanside resident Julie Austin to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, on which she has served on since 2016.
Austin, 64, has been a caregiver for In-Home Support Services since 2010 and a self-employed special education and disabilities advocate since 2001.
The position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
