One person was killed and three others were injured, including an infant, when a vehicle went off a cliff in Big Tujunga Canyon Friday and fell 100 feet.

The vehicle went over the side of Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest north of Altadena about 6:45 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Firefighters at the scene treated two adults and one infant who were injured in the crash before they were airlifted by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. A fourth person died in the crash.

It was not immediately clear what led to the crash.
