Coroner’s officials Saturday released the name of a motorist killed in a collision in the Lancaster area that involved a car and a school bus with no children aboard.
Melissa Van Hoorne, 43, died from multiple blunt-force injuries in the crash that was ruled an accident, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
The crash occurred at about 7 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Columbia Way, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Van Hoorne died at the scene and was the driver of the car, sheriff’s officials said.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
