The nonprofit Assistance League Coachella Valley distributed school clothing to disadvantaged Palm Springs Unified School District students Friday.
District officials said the event was part of Operation School Bell and will provide new clothes to 1,400 elementary students who attend the district’s 16 schools. Another distribution event is scheduled for Oct. 10.
Friday’s distribution took place at the District Service Center, 150 District Center Drive.
