A free teacher workshop focused on water and climate science will be hosted on Oct. 18 and is open to Riverside County teachers.
The workshop is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Philip R. Williams Administration Building located at 31315 Chaney St. in Lake Elsinore.
The day-long workshop is a collaborative effort between Project WET, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District and Riverside County Watershed Protection.
“Teachers will walk away with engaging curriculum, classroom-ready resources, and a foundations of water education guide, while also diving into today’s water and climate issues,” RCWP officials announced.
The workshop, which counts towards Continuing Education Units, will also highlight how lessons align with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, officials announced.
Attendees will be provided free breakfast and lunch as well as be entered in a $50 gift card giveaway among other giveaways.
Middle school and high school teachers as well as environmental educators and after-school program teachers in Riverside County were invited to attend.
