Firefighters battled a non-injury fire Monday that caused the roof of a building in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles to collapse.
The blaze was reported at 11:41 a.m. at 1597 East Vernon Avnue, according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters were called off the roof prior to a partial roof collapse in one corner of the building,” Lantz said.
It took 47 firefighters 24 minutes to knock down the flames and firefighters remained on scene afterward mopping up.
