A fire at a vacant building where a previous fire had burned was extinguished Tuesday in the Westlake District by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters.
Fire crews were called at 2:24 a.m. to 1350 W. Shatto St. and Sixth Street where they began defensive operations at the boarded-up building that was consumed by flames, LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
It took 49 firefighters 33 minutes to extinguish the heavy blaze, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
