A small fire in a kitchen at a Mid-City, two-story fourplex was knocked down in 14 minutes Wednesday evening with no injuries reported.
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded at 8:41 p.m. to 1720 S. Longwood Ave., one block east of Highland Avenue, where they found the fire inside a unit at the rear of the building, said spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
Firefighters will remain at the scene to overhaul the damage caused by the fire, Lantz said.
