An intense, three -alarm fire at a pallet factory drew a large response of firefighters Thursday in Jurupa Valley.
Firefighters responded at 2 a.m. Thursday to the Pallet Factory Co. in the 4200 block of Campbell Street, where they extinguished the blaze around 3 a.m., the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
According to reports from the scene, witnesses reported hearing explosions within the pallet yard as the blaze began to spread but firefighters were able to prevent the fire from reaching other nearby structures .
Fire crews will remain at the scene for several hours performing overhaul duties, the department said.
No injuries were reported.
