Crews Monday morning worked to put out a smoldering fire believed to have been caused by fireworks in a homeless encampment in North Hills.

The fire was reported at 7:36 a.m. in a vacant lot at 9230 N. Langdon Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
