A fire at a two-story Craftsman home in the Pico-Union neighborhood was quickly extinguished Friday by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
Fire crews responded at 4:19 a.m. to 1728 S. Burlington Ave. between 17th and 18th streets where they found heavy flames on the first floor, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
It took 44 firefighters 29 minutes to knocked down the flames, Stewart added.
No injuries were reported.
