A fire broke out Friday at a gas station in Thousand Palms with two big rigs fully involved before it was contained.
The non-injury blaze was reported shortly after 1 p.m. Friday in the 72000 block of Varner Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said four engines were requested regarding two big rigs at the pumps that caught on fire at Flying J, located at 72235 Varner Road.
The fire extended to a canopy, but there was no structure threat.
It was contained at 1:35 p.m., the department said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
