A woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition from a fire at a two-story home Saturday in the Mount Washington community of Los Angeles, where a cat was found dead.
Firefighters dispatched at 2:25 a.m. to 454 W. Mount Washington Drive had the fire out at 2:54 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A 48-year-old woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition with complaints of smoke inhalation, and a pet cat was found dead at the residence, fire officials said.
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
